What are Yay Points?

Yay points is a point you get after making transaction with Jenius Credit Card.

How do I earn Yay Points?

You can earn Yay Points from both offline and online transactions.
– For domestic transactions, you’ll get 1 Yay Point for every Rp10,000 spent (applies in multiples).
– International transactions and transactions in selected categories earn Double Yay (2x Yay Points or equivalent to IDR 5,000).
– Yay Points earned are calculated based on the transaction amount and rounded down.
– Yay Points will be received after the transaction is billed.

What are the benefits of Yay Points?

– Easily select and change your Double Yay categories.
– Effortlessly track your Yay Points history—earned and redeemed—through the Jenius app.
– Redeem points for rewards directly in the app with real-time processing.
– Save your reward IDs to make future redemptions easier.

How long is Yay Points validity period?

Yay Points is valid for 24 months from the date it’s earned and expire on the 1st day of the following month.

Where can I access and manage Yay Points?

There are two ways to manage your Yay Points in the Jenius app.

A. From Home page
1. On the Home page, select Your Rewards.
2. On the Rewards page, select the Yay Points box.
3. To view your points history, select View your points transactions.
4. Tap Points In to see the points you’ve earned, or Points Out to see the points you’ve redeemed.

B. From the Cards page
1. From the bottom navigation, select Cards.
2. On the Cards page, select Credit Card.
3. Scroll to the Credit Card Information section, then select the Yay Points box.
4. To view your points history, select View your points transactions.
5. Tap Points In to see the points you’ve earned, or Points Out to see the points you’ve redeemed.

Why can’t I access Yay Points?

Yay Points can’t be accessed if your card is currently blocked. For assistance and more information, please contact SMBCI Care at 1500 365.

What are Double Yay terms and conditions?

– Applicable to offline and online purchase transactions in foreign currencies and/or transactions in the selected category.
– Double Yay will be credited after the transaction is billed. Make sure not to change your Double Yay category before the transaction is billed so the transaction continues to earn Double Yay based on the selected category.
– Double Yay category can be changed 1x per month after the statement date.
– Category grouping follows Merchant Category Code (MCC) VISA. Bank reserves the right to change it at any time.
– If no category is selected, all domestic transactions will earn regular Yay Points.

What category options can I choose for Double Yay?

How do I choose the Double Yay category?

1. From the bottom navigation, select Cards.
2. On the Cards page, select Credit Card.
3. Scroll to the Credit Card Information section, then select See more on the Yay Points card.
4. Tap Select category here.
5. Choose the category you want, then select Submit.
6. You’ve successfully selected a Double Yay category.

How do I change my Double Yay category?

1. On the bottom navigation of the screen, select Cards.
2. In the Cards page, choose Credit Card.
3. Scroll to the Credit Card Information section, then select See More in the Yay Points box.
4. Tap the Double Yay box.
5. Select Change Category.
6. Choose the appropriate category, then select Save.
7. Enter your Jenius password, then select Save.
8. You have successfully changed your Double Yay category.
9. Make sure the transactions you want to earn Double Yay Points for are already billed before changing the category.

How does Jenius group the Double Yay categories?

Double Yay categories follow the Merchant Category Code (MCC) set by VISA that you can find here.

 

Why don’t online transactions on Indonesian marketplaces earn Double Yay?

Currently, online transactions on Indonesian marketplaces do not earn Double Yay because their transaction mechanisms don’t meet the bank’s internal criteria. You’ll be informed once new mechanisms are in place.

How can I tell if my points are Double Yay?

Double Yay points are automatically awarded if your transaction meets the criteria. Currently, Double Yay is granted by awarding the normal point amount twice. You can check your point history by:

1. Tap Cards on the bottom navigation.
2. Go to Credit Card.
3. Scroll to Credit Card Info and tap More Details in the Yay Points box.
4. Select View your point transactions.

What happens if I haven’t selected the Double Yay category?

You’ll still earn Yay Points under normal terms.

What rewards are available?

There are four rewards options available for your Yay Points redemption.

e-Wallet
– GoPay.
– OVO Cash.

Travel
– Traveloka Points.
– KrisFlyer Miles.
– GarudaMiles
– AirAsia points.
– LinkMiles.

Eat & Shop
– MAPCLUB Points.
– MyEraspace Points.

What are the terms for redeeming Yay Points for e-Wallet rewards?

– You must have a minimum of 2,500 Yay Points.
– For redemptions above 10,000 points to GoPay or OVO Cash, the process must be done in multiple separate transactions.
– Redeeming Yay Points to GoPay balance is free of admin fees.
– Redeeming Yay Points to OVO Cash will incur an Rp1,500 admin fee charged by OVO.
– Redemptions to saved GoPay and OVO accounts can be made based on your available points.
– You can save more than one GoPay and OVO account if needed.

How to redeem Yay Points with GoPay balance?

1. On the Home page, select Your Rewards.
2. After enter Rewards page, select Yay Points box.
3. Scroll to the E-Wallet section in the Catalog, then tap GoPay Balance.
4. Enter the mobile number connected to the Gojek account, then select Next.
5. Select the intended redemption amount. Activate the Save this account button, enter a name for saving the ID, then select Continue.
6. Review the Yay Points redemption confirmation page, then select Send.
7. Input your Jenius password, then select Submit.
8. You have successfully redeemed your points with GoPay balance.

How to redeem Yay Points with OVO Cash balance?

1. On the Home page, select Your Rewards.
2. After enter Rewards page, select Yay Points box.
3. Scroll to the E-Wallet section in the Catalog, then tap OVO Cash .
4. Enter the mobile number connected to the OVO account, then select Next.
5. Select the intended redemption amount. Activate the Save this account button, enter a name for saving the ID, then select Continue.
6. Review the Yay Points redemption confirmation page, then select Send.
7. Input your Jenius password, then select Submit.
8. You have successfully redeemed your points with OVO Cash.

What are the terms for redeeming Yay Points for Eat & Shop rewards?

– You must have a minimum of 2,500 Yay Points.

– No admin fee will be charged for redemptions.
– You can redeem Yay Points to saved accounts based on your available points.

How do I redeem Yay Points for MAPCLUB Points?

4. Enter the mobile number connected to the MAPCLUB Points, then select Next.

6. Review the Yay Points redemption confirmation page, then select Send.
7. Input your Jenius password, then select Submit.
8. You have successfully redeemed your points with MAPCLUB Points.

How do I redeem Yay Points for MyEraspace Points?

1. On the Home page, tap Your Rewards.
2. On the Rewards page, select the Yay Points box.
3. Scroll to the Eat & Shop section in the Catalog, then tap MyEraspace Points.
4. Enter the mobile number connected to the MyEraspace Points, then select Next.
5. Select the intended redemption amount. Activate the Save this account button, enter a name for saving the ID, then select Continue.
6. Review the Yay Points redemption confirmation page, then select Send.
7. Input your Jenius password, then select Submit.
8. You have successfully redeemed your points with MyEraspace Points.

What are the terms for redeeming Yay Points for Travel rewards?

– After your first redemption, your GarudaMiles, KrisFlyer Miles, LinkMiles, and AirAsia points accounts will be automatically saved in the Jenius app for the next 12 months.
– Yay Points can only be redeemed to one saved GarudaMiles and one saved KrisFlyer Miles account.
– You can only change your saved GarudaMiles or KrisFlyer Miles account once per month.
– You can save more than one Traveloka account if needed.
– There are no fees for redeeming Yay Points to GarudaMiles, KrisFlyer Miles, LinkMiles, AirAsia points, or Traveloka Points.
– Redemptions to saved accounts can be made according to your available points.
– For Traveloka Points, redemptions above 10,000 Yay Points must be made in separate transactions.
– Redemptions to GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer Miles can only be made once per month.

Minimum Yay Points required for Travel rewards redemption:
1. 2,500 Yay Points – Traveloka Points
2. 40,000 Yay Points – KrisFlyer Miles
3. 25,000 Yay Points – GarudaMiles
4. 15,000 Yay Points – LinkMiles
5. 10,000 Yay Points – AirAsia Points

How do I redeem Yay Points for Traveloka Points?

1. On the Home page, tap Your Rewards.
2. On the Rewards page, select the Yay Points box.
3. Scroll to the Travel section in the Catalog, then tap Traveloka.
4. Enter the mobile number connected to Traveloka, then select Next.
5. Select the intended redemption amount. Activate the Save this account button, enter a name for saving the ID, then select Continue.
6. Review the Yay Points redemption confirmation page, then select Send.
7. Input your Jenius password, then select Submit.
8. You have successfully redeemed your points with Traveloka Points.

How do I redeem Yay Points for KrisFlyer Miles?

1. On the Home page, tap Your Rewards.
2. On the Rewards page, select the Yay Points box.
3. Scroll to the Travel section in the Catalog, then tap KrisFlyer.
4. Enter your KrisFlyer Membership ID, first name, and last name, then tap Next.
5. Select the number of points you want to redeem, then tap Next.
6. Review the redemption confirmation page, then tap Submit.
7. Enter your Jenius password, then tap Submit.
8. Your Yay Points have been successfully redeemed for KrisFlyer Miles.

What is a KrisFlyer ID?

Your KrisFlyer ID is your registered identity with KrisFlyer. It is the same as your KrisFlyer Membership Number.

Why do I need to provide a first and last name when redeeming KrisFlyer Miles?

A full name (first and last) is required for verification by KrisFlyer to ensure the redemption is processed accurately.

Can I redeem Yay Points for someone else?

Yes. You can redeem Yay Points for someone else by entering the recipient’s membership number along with their correct first and last name.

Make sure the first name, last name, and membership number are correct and registered in the partner’s app.

If there is any discrepancy in the membership number, first name, or last name, the points redemption will be invalid and can’t be processed.

My Yay Points redemption was successful, but why haven’t the miles been added yet?

Redemptions are processed in real time, but if additional data verification is needed, the process may be delayed.

– For redemptions to OVO Cash, GoPay, and Traveloka Points, data verification may take up to 5 business days.
– For redemptions to KrisFlyer Miles, data verification may take up to 15 business days.

How do I redeem Yay Points for GarudaMiles?

1. On the Home page, tap Your Rewards.
2. On the Rewards page, select the Yay Points box.
3. Scroll to the Travel section in the Catalog, then tap GarudaMiles.
4. Enter GarudaMiles number, then select Next.
5. Select the intended redemption amount. Activate the Save this account button, enter a name for saving the ID, then select Continue.
6. Review the Yay Points redemption confirmation page, then select Send.
7. Input your Jenius password, then select Submit.
8. You have successfully redeemed your points with GarudaMiles.

What is a GarudaMiles number?

Your GarudaMiles number is your registered identity with GarudaMiles. It functions as your membership number.

Can I redeem Yay Points to more than one account?

Yes, you can. However, for the security of your Jenius account, redemptions to KrisFlyer and GarudaMiles can only be made to one account, which will be saved and can’t be changed for 365 days.

How do I redeem Yay Points for LinkMiles?

1. On the Home page, tap Your Rewards.
2. On the Rewards page, select the Yay Points box.
3. Scroll to the Travel section in the Catalog, then tap LinkMiles.
4. Enter the email address and name registered with your LinkMiles account, then tap Next.
5. Select the number of points you want to redeem, then tap Next.
6. Review the redemption confirmation page, then tap Submit.
7. Input your Jenius password, then select Submit.
8. You have successfully redeemed your points with LinkMiles.

How do I redeem Yay Points for AirAsia points?

1. On the Home page, tap Your Rewards.
2. On the Rewards page, select the Yay Points box.
3. Scroll to the Travel section in the Catalog, then tap AirAsia MOVE.
4. Enter the number and name registered in AirAsia MOVE, then tap Next.
5. Select the number of points you want to redeem, then tap Next.
6. Review the redemption confirmation page, then tap Submit.
7. Input your Jenius password, then select Submit.
8. You have successfully redeemed your points with AirAsia MOVE.

Why didn’t I earn Yay Points from my Jenius Credit Card transaction?

Here are some conditions that may cause Yay Points not to be credited in the Jenius app:

– Jenius Credit Card transactions at merchants or online platforms that are unsuccessful.
– Transactions that you cancel.
– Transactions categorized as fraud based on the bank’s internal criteria.
– Jenius Credit Card transactions on business payment and invoicing platforms.
– Jenius QR transactions with Jenius Credit Card as source of funds through other apps (effective from 9 February 2026).
– Cash withdrawals, interest, and service fees, as listed here.
– Monthly bill payments and government-related payments, including:
1. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN),
2. Perusahaan Air Minum (PAM),
3. Online Pajak,
4. Customs (Bea Cukai),
5. Immigration fees,
6. BPJS payments,
7. Other government institutions paid via e-commerce platforms,
8. Overseas government institutions.

Why do my Yay Points need to be adjusted?

Jenius may adjust the number of Yay Points displayed in the app based on your transaction activity and your use of Yay Points.

In certain cases, this adjustment may result in a negative Yay Points balance. If this happens, any Yay Points earned from subsequent transactions will be automatically used first to offset the negative balance.

When will my Yay Points balance return to normal?

Your Yay Points balance will return to normal once you’ve earned enough points to cover the previous shortfall. Keep using your Jenius Credit Card to continue earning Yay Points.

Can I only earn Yay Points from credit card transactions?

No. You can earn Yay Points through various methods besides credit card transactions. Make sure to update your app to the latest version to get the most up-to-date information.

Can Yay Points earned outside of credit card transactions be redeemed?

Yes. You can redeem Yay Points as usual, regardless of how you earned them.
