With Foreign Currency, you can do various international transactions (buy, save, sell, send, and receive foreign currencies) on 1 app.
You can also link the currency to your m-Card for cash withdrawals and transactions (including online transactions).
Foreign Currency is available for all Jenius users with an active m-Card.
The 9 (nine) foreign currencies in Foreign Currency feature are available automatically, but you need to activate them before using.
Foreign Currency feature on Jenius app offers USD (United States dollar), SGD (Singapore dollar), AUD (Australian dollar), HKD (Hong Kong dollar), GBP (British pound sterling), JPY (Japanese yen), EUR (Euro), THB (Thailand baht), and CNY (Chinese yuan).

Both CNY and CNH are Chinese Yuan (RMB). The difference lies in how and where they are used.
CNY (Chinese Yuan) is the official symbol of China’s currency and is known as the “Yuan.” This currency is used within China or Mainland China. CNY is subject to export-import restrictions imposed by the Chinese government.
Meanwhile, CNH (Chinese Yuan Hong Kong) is a currency traded outside Mainland China. CNH is freely traded in currency markets around the world.
Technically, Jenius provides the service of buying and selling CNH according to applicable regulations. The buying and selling rates used are in CNH. However, for the app’s display, Jenius uses CNY because it is more commonly known to the general public.
– On Home page of Jenius app, tap the + sign above Active Balance box.

– Choose activation purpose from the available options (saving/investment, business transactions, or personal transactions).

If your abroad transaction happened when your m-Card is currently linked to IDR Active Balance, the transaction will be converted from Rupiah to the foreign currency that is used in that country and will be debited from the IDR Active Balance.
Conversion from rupiah to currency in that country will follow the applicable fees and exchange rates.

IBAN (International Bank Account Number) code is a standard account numbering system. This code is used to identify individual accounts in international financial transactions.

You can’t cancel a Foreign Currency transfer that has already been made. If you want to change the data, you must wait until the money is refunded.

– Transactions that require additional documents (eg, transaction invoices).

Yes. We will refund your money to the Foreign Currency balance you used. It’ll be recorded as Refund category on In & Out.
For your information, the money will be refunded to your Foreign Currency balance according to the transfer amount and deductions from the correspondent bank (if any). Please note that refunds don’t include Provision Fee, Telex Fee, or Full Amount Fee.
Money will be refunded in full (including Provision Fee, Telex, and Full Amount Fee) if the transaction was canceled due to not passing the AML (Anti-money laundering) screening. Other than that, the refunded amount is the Transfer Amount.
Please note that the refund amount may not be the same as previous Transfer Amount. It depends on the prevailing exchange rate and the fees charged by the beneficiary bank or correspondent bank.
We can’t confirm the refund time because it depends on the correspondent bank’s and beneficiary bank’s policies.

The time required for receiving Foreign Currency depends on the policy of the correspondent bank and the sender’s bank.
Foreign Currency sender must fill in your data as the recipient (name, contact, address, etc.) according to the data registered with the Bank. For address data, the sender can enter your KTP address.
If the name of the recipient that the sender entered is different from the name registered on the Bank, the Foreign Currency might be returned to the sender.
The bank will convert the foreign currency that was sent to the currency that matches your account number using the prevailing BTPN exchange rate at that time.
